  • Candied ginger and fresh lemon zest scent our buttery shortbread for a tasty treat all year long.

  • Break into this chewy, wheaty sourdough baguette when you want something more substantial than the typical Parisian-style yeasted baguette.  Nurtured from our house sourdough culture and spiked with a healthy dose of Whole Wheat flour, this baguette has a rich flavor and satisfying chewiness that will stand up to the heartiest cheeses and the richest charcuterie.
  • This bread brings flavor to the table. The fruity, saltiness of good olives is a natural complement to sourdough. We load this loaf with a mixture of black and green Greek olives and a good measure of rosemary. Try spreading slices with tangy goat cheese and topping off with roasted red pepper strips. Or spread with mild semi-soft triple cream cheese, Dijon mustard, and shaved prosciutto. • We start with our deliciously chewy sourdough wheat dough. Then we mix in a generous measure of roasted pumpkin, sunflower, sesame, flax and poppy seeds. We roll the unbaked loaf in a mixture of raw seeds and they roast to crispy perfection on the crust as the loaf bakes. The aroma is heavenly. . . the perfect complement to farmhouse cheddar cheese and apple butter, or simply toasted and slathered with butter.  This loaf is a favorite of staff and shoppers alike.  Pictured with a lovely, hand-stamped linen bread bag made by our friends at Three Pines Studio in Cross Village , MI. • Our delicious Pepper Parmesan bread in a snack-sized roll.  Crusty and cheesy, these rolls are great on their own or split and filled with fresh tomato, basil pesto, prosciutto or anything your heart desires.   Pepper Parmesan Rolls are a Crooked Tree Breadworks staple that often sells out quickly on the daily bread lineup.
  • A Crooked Tree Breadworks classic and fan favorite.  Serve this bread when you want to add flavor to any meal or sandwich.  Chunks of Italian Parmesan cheese, suspended in a chewy, sourdough loaf balanced by a measured dose of fresh ground black pepper that will make your mouth water. Tear up pieces to sop up pasta sauce, toast thick slices, and top with basil pesto and sliced garden tomato, or make the world’s tastiest BLT. • If sandwiches and toast are a few of your favorite things you can’t go wrong with our Multigrain Boule.  From grilled ham and swiss to hummus and veggies,  the nutty, chewy crust and moist crumb of this loaded loaf will complement any filling.  Toasting brings out the sweetness of the cracked whole grains and the wonderful aroma of the sourdough.  Pictured with a lovely, hand-stamped linen bread bag made by our friends at Three Pines Studio in Cross Village, MI. • Crisp and herbaceous, these versatile rounds of toasted baguette are a natural complement to soups, salads and cheese boards. We baste them with our own blend of herbs, fresh garlic, extra virgin olive oil, and sweet cream butter before toasting them to crispy perfection. Great for dipping or topping with your favorite cheese or hummus; a perfect match for your favorite IPA.  Try them on a salad in place of croutons, or crush them up and use them in place of seasoned bread crumbs... a great addition to any meatball recipe.  However you like them, you'll want to keep a few bags on hand.
  • This crunchy, chewy cookie is made with molasses, ginger, and chunks of crystallized ginger, and sparkly raw sugar embellishes the crackled top.  Young and old alike are crazy about our Ginger Crinkle cookie.  We don't mean to brag, but we've never tasted a molasses ginger cookie as great as this one (and we've checked bakeries around the country).
  • Send some cheer when you can’t be near. Crispy and pungent, they are great for eating out of hand or tossed into your favorite stir fry or salad.  Great alongside a cold beer.  Makes a thoughtful gift.  Better get two, they are hard to put down once you start.  Net weight 7 oz.
  • Black currants and orange marmalade complement the buttery richness of this moist, buttery scone. Perfect with a cup of hot tea any time of year.
  • Quite possibly the best Chocolate Chunk Cookie you'll ever have.  Made with European style butter (no shortening in anything from this bakery) and Belgian chocolate, baked to golden, chewy perfection.  Big enough to share (but you won't want to).  One of our most popular sellers all year long.
  • A generous package containing nine of our amazing chocolate chip biscotti makes a great gift for you or someone special.
  • Delicious, all-butter crust wrapped around our Michigan grown tart Montmorency cherry filling.  Makes a great mid-afternoon munchie, or a substantial complement to a morning cup of coffee.
  • Here is one of the breads that built our reputation. We load this bread with Michigan Red Tart Cherries and toasted pecans.  The dark, caramelized crust and roasted pecans are the perfect counterpoints to the slightly tangy, fruity crumb. A lightly toasted slice with some quality butter and a cup of coffee makes a memorable breakfast, or use it for battered French toast dusted with cocoa and powdered sugar.  Makes a terrific Thanksgiving stuffing as well as a great sandwich base.  Pictured with a lovely, hand-stamped linen bread bag made by our friends at Three Pines Studio in Cross Village, MI. Here is a recipe featuring our Cherry Pecan Sourdough: Cherry Pecan Thanksgiving Dressing
  • It's hard to capture the satisfaction of this tasty scone in a photo, but imagine our buttery scone dough studded with aged sharp, white cheddar cheese and fresh chopped scallions.  Perfect alone.  Even better adorned with an egg, bacon or sausage.
  • Our Breakfast Bread checks all the boxes with its subtly sweet cinnamon-scented wheat dough, studded with raisins and toasted walnuts. Toast it and slather it with butter or your favorite nut butter, make some amazing French Toast with it, or use it in your favorite bread pudding recipe.   Any way you slice it, this bread will bring joy to your taste buds.  Pictured with a lovely, hand-stamped linen bread bag made by our friends at Three Pines Studio in Cross Village just north of here.  Linen is the very best way to store bread for longevity and freshness, not to mention reducing plastic bag waste. • If you like crusty, flavorful sourdough, this bread's for you. Cut into the caramelized crust and you’ll find a moist, open crumb dappled with flecks of organic rye. This bread placed 3rd overall in a tasting of mail order breads conducted by Fortune magazine on January 22, 2007. Try brushing thick slices with extra virgin olive oil, lightly grilling them and topping them off with sautéed leeks and wild mushrooms (morels if you can get them). A fantastic accompaniment to soups and stews.  The mild, slightly tangy flavor makes this one Breadworks founder Greg Carpenter's favorite daily breads and our longstanding bestseller.  Pictured with a lovely, hand-stamped linen bread bag made by our friends at Three Pines Studio in Cross Village, MI. • Handcrafted bread linen bag.  Made by Three Pines Studio in Cross Village, Michigan.  Traditionally, French bread was stored in linen (sac à pain) to preserve both the freshness and crust of the baguette.  Linen can absorb humidity up to 35% without giving a sensation of wetness.  Linen has both heating and cooling qualities.  At home, the sac à pain has its own place, hanging from a cupboard or doorknob.  It quickly becomes part of the household. Each item is a unique piece made from traditional woodblock print.  Sizes, shapes, and colors vary.
  • If you love brownies, you'll love this cookie!  Rich, dark chocolate studded with chocolate and white chocolate chips.  Better grab a glass of milk with this one.  For true chocolate lovers.
