Mail Order Bread Products

Breadworks Winter Stollen Bread CareOur breads are carefully made and will remain enjoyable for up to five days, longer if you freeze them. Even an old loaf that appears hard and stale can usually be revived with just a few minutes in the oven or toaster. To minimize moisture loss and shipping damage we bag all of our products in plastic. This will soften the crust.

How to Refresh Your Bread

To refresh your bread from Crooked Tree Breadworks, brush the crust with water and place the unwrapped loaf (loaves that have already been cut into should be wrapped in foil) in a PREHEATED 400 degree oven for 5 to 10 minutes or until it is heated in the center.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” parallax_content_width=”in_grid” angled_section=”no” angled_section_position=”both” angled_section_direction=”from_left_to_right” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern” row_negative_margin=”” padding_top=”10″ padding_bottom=”50″][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]

Bread Care

By using the following bread care hints, you can get the most out of your bread from Crooked Tree Breadworks.

  • Slice only enough bread to eat immediately. Use a large, serrated knife in a gentle sawing motion.
  • Maintain a crisp crust by keeping your bread in a paper bag with the cut side to the counter.
  • If you plan to have your bread for more than one day, keep it in the plastic bag and refresh only as much as you intend to use.
  • Freeze bread in a heavy plastic bag or double wrapped with food film. Thaw bread, wrapped, before refreshing the loaf.
